w ■■■ ■ SCHOOL CEREMONIES. RECOMMENDATION OB' EDUCATION BOARD. (PRESB ASSOCIATtOK TELEGRAM.) WELLINGTON, April 21. In connexion with Anzac Day, the Education Board discussed the position, and stated that some teachers had acted on a suggestion made, and would hold the Anzac ceremony in the schools on Friday. Begret was expressed that a majority of the schools had decided to hold the services on Friday instead of on the proper date, Sunday. It was moved that those schools meeting on Sunday should bo commended, and that it bo a recommondaitioii that other schools should follow their example. The socretary later drafted a circular for distribution to the various schools, and as a result a number of appointments for Friday were cancelled and services arranged at the schools for Sunday morning at the time of the Anzac programme already drawn up.
