On February 10th, Mrs Wall wrj doing some washing in tno kitchen when she complained of pain in her foot. Taking off her boot, she found a small puncture on the sole of her foot, and a slater's nail which had evidently fallen from a shelf into the boot. Two days later she was taken to hospital, where anti-tetanus serum was injected, but in vain. A verdict of "Accidental death" was returned.
