ORCHESTRAL SOCIETY.
ANNUAL MEETING. The Christchurch Orchestral. Society held it« annual meeting last night. Mr E. A.. Home presided over a large attendance of members. The chairman stated that the year had been a successful one. The thanks of the Society were due to those who had aecured new members. ' Their efforts were quite successful, and were a great help to the finances of the Society. The annual balance-sheet, which was adopted, showed a credit balance of £1 5s lOd. The election of officers resulted as follows:—President, Mr K. A. Home; vicepresidents, Dr. Hight, Dr. Thßcker, Dr. John Guthrie, Dr. P. Stanley Foster, Messrs Geo. H. Bonnington, F. C. Bapbael, H. H. Loughnan, "W. Kidston, T. W. Dent, Alfred J. Bunz, and J. M. Mitchell; committee, Mm C. Wilson, Miss R. Werry, Messrs A. P. do la Cour, H. K. 3arman, W. Hay, G. F. Allen, and Alfred Lawrence; conductor, Mr Angus Gunter; trustees, Meßsrs B. A. Home, G. H. Bonnington, and F. C. Baphael: hon. auditor, Mr H. R. Best; i leader of orchestra, Mr T. B.
