ORCHESTRAL SOCIETY.

ANNUAL MEETING. The Christchurch Orchestral. Society held it« annual meeting last night. Mr E. A.. Home presided over a large attendance of members. The chairman stated that the year had been a successful one. The thanks of the Society were due to those who had aecured new members. ' Their efforts were quite successful, and were a great help to the finances of the Society. The annual balance-sheet, which was adopted, showed a credit balance of £1 5s lOd. The election of officers resulted as follows:—President, Mr K. A. Home; vicepresidents, Dr. Hight, Dr. Thßcker, Dr. John Guthrie, Dr. P. Stanley Foster, Messrs Geo. H. Bonnington, F. C. Bapbael, H.
