BECKENHAM BURGESSES ASSOCIATION.
♦ Tho usual monthly meeting of the Beckenham Burgesses' Association was held last night, Mr A. 0. Maxwell presiding over a fair attendance. A letter was received from the Town Clerk, stating that the question of responsibility for tho swings recently erected by tho Council in the children's playground at Beekenham had been brought under tho notice of the Beekenham School Committee. It was decided, after discussion, to forward » letter to the Town Clerk pointing, out the danger to motorists of the road at the junction of Sandwich road and Western terrace, and suggesting that a parapet be erected. The United Burgesses' Association advised having unanimously passed the remit brought forward by the St. Martins Burgesses' .Association -■ that all numbers of houses bo affixed to tho gate*. It was decided to forward a letter to the City Council pointing out tho leakage in the water main in Eastern terrace, and asking that it be attended to immediately, as the road was in bad order.
