* « Tennis Club Meeting. A general meeting of tht tennis club «w held on Monday, Mr 0. Flavell presiding. Tha main purpose of the meeting was to asoertain whether the members favoured the proposed amalgamation of the Heathcote Club, the Bowling Club, and the Tennis Club. After a somewhat lengthy discussion a resolution was passed favouring the scheme under certain conditions. The following delegates were then selected to represent the club at a combined meeting to be held shortly:—Misses L. Hill and J. Hay, and, Messrs E. Diokew, B. Loney, K. Loney, and M. A. MoDowell. Anzac Service.
A servioe will be held at tho War Memorial on Ansad I>ay at 10 a.m. The Rev. T. M. Curnow, the vicar at St. Mary's, will conduot the service, and the Rev. W. H. Speer, local Methodist minister, will give the address. Instead of parading at Lyttelton as was the custom in other years, the Heathcote detachment of territorials and cadets will attend the looal service. i
