LANDLORD'S BICYCLE.
THE BISHOP'S DILEMMA. Even the, Bishop, of Christchurch has become- imbued.with the .spirit of the "Wheel City,'' and he rides a .bicycle. "I was going up Victoria street .the other day," said Archdeacon Haggitt at the Council of Christian' Congregations last evening, ".when I saw. someone- coming down like .a tornado.; It was the Bishop in a terrible hurry. A tram and" a motor-car nearly collided and Dr. West-Watson to jump off his bicycle to avoid an accident."
"I was not really in a hurry," replied his Lordship, "but my landlord had lent me a bicycle which had no brake." . ' '
