STRAND THEATRE.
Strand Theatre patrons are now being entertained by Jack Hosie in "The Red Rider," which is the story of reforms worked among the Indians by a man of mystery, called "white Indian," but whoso real name ig "White Elk." This is the role assumed by Hoxie, and it is one of his best screen characterisations to date. Jack Hoxio is famous for bis appearance in Western dramas, and in this, his latest, he proves that his powers of screen expression are gaining with every production. The picture is remarkable for the 'fact that it is tho first time an attempt has been made to place on the silver sheet the Indian's side of the story of the conflict between red and white races in America. ... , , "It is tho Law,' from tho Btage play by Elmer L. Rice, is the socond big attraction. It is • drama based on one of those anomalies of the law that ordains that a man cannot be tried for the same crime more than once. The star is Arthur Hohl. „ "The Scarlet Streak," a fast-moving chapter play. • comedy, and topical feature round off an excellent programme.
