DR. JOHN R. MOTT.
ARRANGEMENTS POR .VISIT. Having visited most other parts of the world. Dr. John It. Mott has decided to make a trip to New Zealand. Dr. Mott, who is chairman of the World's Christian Student Federation, a member" of the executive of the World's Committee of the Y.M.C.A., and chairman of the International Missionary Council, is making a tour ot the Eastern Pacific under the auspices ! of the organisations named, and left Seattle on December sth. He will arrive at Auckland on April 20th v and will spend the first days of May in Christchurch. Yesterday afternoon a co-ordinating committee, representing the New Zealand Student Christian Movement, YMC.A., Y.W.C.A... and the clergy of the City, met with the object of making arrangements for Dr. Mott s, visit. The followiug programme \vas> approved:— May lst-rMeeting for. professors and students, including those at the Training College, at Canterbury College, at May 2nd—Meeting with Student Christian Movement leaders at 4 p.tn.; public meeting ,in one of the theatres, to be addressed by Dr. Mott, at 8 p.m. May 3rd—Luncheon for business men at 1 p.m.; reception at Y.W.C.A. for Dr. and Mrs Mott, at 3 p.m.; meeting of professors and students at Canterbury College, at 8 p.m. ■ May 4th—Meeting, for clergy, of Christcchurch at 11 a.m.; conference with Y.M.C.A. leaders and directors at o.dOv.m. Dr. and Mrs Mott will leave at night for Wellington. « ,;
