LOCARNO PACT.

POSITION OF DOMINIONS. MR AMERY QUESTIONED. (BT CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT.) (AUSTRALIAN AKD S.J. CABLE ASSOCIATIOK.) (Received March 9th, 11.10 p.m.) LONDON, March 9. In the House of Commons, Mr G. Garro-Jones asked whether the Dominions had been invited to express their views regarding adhesion'to the Locarno Pact, and if not, whether they would be before the British ratification was lodged at Geneva. Mr L. C. M. S. Amery said the whole matter would be discussed at the Imperial Conference. Mr J. H. Thomas: Will you lay the papers on the table ? Mr Amery said that no such communication could lead up to a decision of policy. This made their publication undesirable. Mr Ramsay Mac Donald: Arc not these in the nature of dispatches which, in .the end, ought to be published ? Mr Amery > I am not sure on that point. It must depend on the Dominions. Mr Thomas: Will you ascertain their views on publication, and if they acquiesce, will you make a statement? Mr Amery: I will consider it, but must consult the Foreign Secretary.
