HOCKEY.
AVESLEY CLUB. The annual meeting of the Wesley Hockey Club was held at the Y.M.C.A. rooms on Saturday, when there was a good attendance of members. Mr L. L. Jones occupied the chair. The annual report and balance-sheet was read and adopted, after a short discussion. It was disclosed that the club had a credit balance after last year's workings, but the cash in hand showed a- drop on last yesr*s amount. One resignation was received and six new members wtre elected to the club. The election of officers was as follows: Patron, Rev. E. D. Palcbett; president, Mr W. Simpson; vice-preßidents, L. L. Jones, L. J. Lohrey, K. Balchin, and A. Holden; club captain, G. J. Woodham; hon. secretary, W. S. Butcher; hon. treasurer, K. H. Allen; delegates to the Canterbury Hockey Association. G. J. Woodham and W. S. Butcher.
