O'SHEA AND M'LENNAN. One of the big attractions nt the St. Patrick's sports meeting to be held at English Park on Saturday next, is the appearance of D, McLennan, in-the-St. Patrick's Sheffield Handicap. McLennan, who has a record of 9 4-ssec for the 100 yds, is an- ex-. pupil ot Christchurch Boys' High School, and is considered one of the best sprinters New Zealand has produced. 'Matched against R. ; S. Thomson* W. B. Grade, M. B. McDonald, and other crack runners, McLennan will bo forced to do his best, and something sensational may. be expected. J?hil O'Shea, fresh. from . his Auckland victory over the world-renowned Harris Border/ will be,' a competitor in the cycling events, and h|s riding is bound to create considerable interest. A. Leathern showed on Saturday night that.he was right back to his best form, sp O'Shea will be kept fully extended. >An excellent programme of athletic events has been arranged for both afternoon and evening, and patrons may be' assured of receiving first-class entertainment At a moderate outlay.
