CHRISTMAS NIGHT MEETING
ENGLISH PARK STADII'MThe Mairehau iSpert.s Club will hold the annual sporifc at Kngli.sU Fark on Ch-istmas night. Record entries have born received for all the cve.nu, some of the best r'dirs in the Dominion having nominated. Amongst the entrants in the Quarter-mile N'ow Zealand Championship are: •-Jumbo" Wells, C. B- Tarfcer (New Plymouth), Alec Ritchie.. Jack Bearman. Cyril Bowden, Bill Mackle, and Jack He.nderaon. The One Mile Junior Championship will also be decided, and a close oonte«t should result. The amateurs will rnr\. test the Half mile New Zealand Track Chamji.onship. The arrangements are complete, and everything points to a mo?t successful meeting. The first event is timed to start at 7.-10 p.in.
