EDGEWARE ROAD METHODIST CHURCH

Special Christmas eervicea were conducted at the Edgoware rood Methodist Church on Sunday, tha preachers, being Rev. L. B. Neale in the morning, and Eev. S.J. Werren in the evening-. The juvenilo choir provided the special musio in the, morning, Mis* Green presiding at the organ. The occasion was taken to make a presentation Miss Daisy Rapley for her excellent work in training the juvenile choir. At tho evening eorvicc, the usual Christmas anthems by the choir wore aupplemonted by an aftereervicc performj.nce of about eighteen selections from the "Messiah," given by over sixty voices and an orchestra o£ twelve performers. The vocal soloists -were:—Mrs Litchfield, Mies J. Duff, Mieses Annie and Rite Lncae, Mies D. Lawrence, and Mies Hilda Smith, and Messrs C. James, Sellare, A. J. Baker, and W: J. Spratt. The orchestral members were:—Organist, Miss Stella Osborne; violins, Meßsrs T. B. Eiordan, S. P. Smith, G. F. Allen, and R. Woolcock; viola, Mr Alf, Lawrence; 'cello, Mr K. P. Jones; baas, Mr A. P. Do la Cour; flute, Mr V. Hay; oboe, Mr H. F. Pairman; clarinet, Mr A. J. Clarkson; bassoon, Mr J. Sinclair; trombone, Mr I. Stubberfield. Mr Cecil James was musical director. The church was taxed to its utmost capacity, and the musical effort was evidently highly appreciated by the large congregation.
