The majority of the yMBt roads are tarred macadam, and all are exceptionally good. MUNICIPAL LIBRARY—The Timaru Municipal Library is one of Xi the finest in the South Island, and is free to all. There are 4779 borrowers, including 848 children. GENERAL INDUSTRIES include two Freezing Works, four large Flour Mills, Sawmills, and Woollen Mills.
