AMATEUR CYCLING.
A meeting of the executive of the Mairehau Amateur Cycling Club was held on Thursday evening, Mr W. J. Walter presiding. The circuit of races for club members during the holidays was discussed, and arrangements made for the receiving of entries, etc. It was decided to hold a eeneral meeting of the club on Monday, November 30th, after the nine-mile road race, which vis postponed on account of the wet weather on November 26th. The chairman announced that an amateur championship race would be held at the meeting controlled by the Sports Club at English Park on Christmas nijht, for which a blue ribbon for presentation,to the winner has been promised to the club.
