Tho death has occurred in Adelaide, of Mr J. H. Aldridge., owner of tho famous Hichniond JPark Hind, the home of Pistol, tit. Anton, and Lucknow. Mr Aldridge was born at Kensington (South Australia) in 1»49, and he was an exceedingly popular figure in local raciug"-circlcs. Carlyon, who was bought by Mr Aldridge for, 1000 guineas, figured at tho stud for many years, and did excellent service for him. In 1906, when Carlyon met ■with in. accident, -Mr Aldridge bought the Carbine horse Pistol. Tho stock of that horse hare won many important events, including the Adelaide Grand National Hurdle Race and Steeplechase, the V.R.C. Grand Xational Hurdle Race and Steeplechase, and the Australian Hurdle Race. Stock by Pistol have won approximately £200,000. At one time Mr Aldridge patronised the Turf freely, and he won many races with Satinella, Sardius, Ketitious, and the steeplechaser, Warrior,
