♦- SOUTH ISLAND CHAMPIONSHIP. (PEISS ASSOCIATION- TKLEGSAU.) DTHSnEDIN, November 27. The South Island ( clay bird championship shoot took place this, morning in boisterous weather. W. J. McCulloch (Timam) won the sweepstakes and gold medal. R. McIlwich (Timaru) was runner-up. The third prize-money was divided between A. N. Turner (Christchurch), E. Lansdell (Invercargill), and "W. Harris, sen., (Inversargill).
