"CANTERBURY PILGRIMS."
TO THE EDITOR OF "TAB FBESS." Sir.—ln your issue of Tuesday, 24th j mst., there is a report of the meeting j of "the. executive of the 70th anniversary of the Canterbury Celebration Committee," and it is there stated "that" it was decided to ask the surviving passengers by the .'-hips which arrived prior to; December lGth, 18.50, and by the Charlotte Jane, Randolph, ■ Cressy, and Sir. George Seymour (the first four ships), also the Isabella Hnreus and the Castle Eden." These were to bo tlie guests of the committee. It is, I think, much to be regretted that-tire committee did . not include all those who arrived by the association's ships, the last of which was tho Tasmania, which arrived- in March. 18.">3. There cannot be many left now: the youngest -must he well pa.st the limit. I trust that the committee will reconsider- this, and failing-to do so. restrict to only "the first four ships." — Yours, etc., PILGRIM.
