ENGLISH PARK STADIUM.

TO-MORROW'S PROGRAMME. "Jumbo" "Wells and Cyril Sowden will try conclusions in a match race over three distances at English Park Stadium to-morrow night. In the quarter-mile tho riders will be unpaccd. The half-mile and the concluding distance of three-quarters of a mile will be paced by local sprinters. Wells is well known to cycling patrons as a rider who haa made good in all branches of the sporty from a quarter-mile to a six days' race. He has ridden with success in various parts of the world, and is regarded as one of the .best professionals taking part in the sport at, ths present time. Wells states that the result of the race will be announced after the first two distances have been covered. Sowden, on tho other hand, has improved so much that he is satisfied that although he lacks the experience of his opponent, his speedi and sprinting ability will carry 'ham through, and he will prove victorious over -the veteran. ' On his riding against M. Fitzgerald last Saturday, he may be depended on to make a bold bid for the honours. Arrangements have been made for the winner to be matched, against J. Fitzgerald!, the Victorian champion. This race will take place to-morrow week. The supporting programme contains two first-class handicap events, in which O Shea, Henderson, Marra, Cant, W. Jackie Chas. Bell J. Bearman, and all the leading riders will take part. A second-class track race is also included on the .programme. Whippet lacing, amateur cycling, and aprofessional run will make iry a most attractive provarume.. Derry's Military Band will be in attendance. The sports commence at 8 p.m. ■
