CLAY BIRD SHOOTING. (rBESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) DUNEDIN, November 26. Tho Dunedin Gun Club commenced the South Island clay bird championship today under unfavourable weather conditions. In tho morning a i'so handicap match, 21 birds, was fired. First and second prize money was divided by G. E. Turner (Christchurch), W. J. McCullocli (Timaru), with 19 bird's each, and third prize money was divided by A. N. Turner (Christchurch), D. G. Becker (Koughridge), 11. Mcllwnck (Timaru), J. Fcqwick. tTimaru), and I'. Grand {Timaru), 18 birds each. In the afternoon a, second £SO handicap was fired. W. J. McCulloch (Timaru) was Ist, hitting all 21 birds, and T. J. Henderson (Tuatapere) 2nd, with 20 birds.
