RED CROSS EXECUTIVE.
ANNUAL MEETING. (PRESS ASSOCIATION TIJLEGKA Y.) DL'NJ&DIX, November 2-5. The Hon. Sir R. Heaton Rhodes presided at the annual meeting, of the executive of the New Zealand Branch of the British Red Cross' Society. ; • -The treasurer's statement disclosed a balance of £11,079 in No. 1 account, and £33,090 in No. 2 account. The action of the Government in retaining the sum of £300,000 which the British Red Cross returned to the New Zealand Society at the termination.of the war was adverselv criticised by Mr J. A. Flesher. After s-oine discussion, a resolution bearing on the matter was withdrawn on. the .president undertaking to interview the Attorney-General personally. *•"• • i-jir Heaton Rhodes was re-elected president.
