I lie Irish "Boundary Commission announce that Mr Fisher and Sir .Justice feathnm liold a conference with representatives of the llritish Government, and intimated that in the Commission's view the resignation of Mr McNeill could not- be regarded as valid and eftectual. Further, tho Commission expected to deliver an award at an early date. It is proposed previously to givo preliminary information, indicating the general character of the award, to the British and Free Staje Governments. Mr McNeill, who resigned from the Irish Boundary Commission, in a long explanation to the Dail Eireann, s#vs that h«i regarded his position on the Boundary Commission as a plenipotentiary, not purelv as a representative of tho Free State Government, nor an advocate of a particular viewpoint, but a representative of tho trust created by Article Twelve. "When tho Commission's report was completed, ho thought Article Twelve would not be fulfiUed. Ho had resigned in order to give tho Free State Government a free hand.
