Mr Baldwin, in the House of Commons, in moving that an address be presented to the King, sympathising with him in the death .of Queen Alexandra, said that all would ever remember her with grateful affection for the love she inspired in all classes. Looking back on the Queen's life, nothing was more striking than the way she identified herself with the people and the country immediately she landed. Hers was a personality which impressed everybody. Though the Court order for mourning does not apply to the public, there are many signs in London of its adoption. The Governor-General has been advised that the official funeral service for her late Majesty Queen Alexandra will bo held at 11.30 a.m. on Friday next in Westminster Abbey.

His Excellency therefore suggests that any memorial services which it is proposed to hold 'in Now Zealand should be held at eleven o'dock on Friday n-orning next, as tho nearest appropriate time for coinciding with the Westminster Abbey service. 'The Governor-General has been informed further that his Majesty the King has directed that the flying of flags at hall-mast on Government buildings in Great Britain should be continued until next Saturday.
