FUN IN THE STOCKYARD.

ENGLISH PARK STADIUM.

On Wednesday next a novel entertainment v.ill be staged by the management of the English Park Stadium Company. Tho chief attraction will bo a rodeo, and a Teat wild west show. Stubborn mulee, bucking donkeys, fresh ponies, and calves will take part in a most entertaining anc? lau"hab'.e pr-cgramme. V. Cowan, the Australian buck-jumping champion, who was a great favourite at tho Show Grounds a fortnight ago, will give an exhibition of buckjumping. Other items include a novios bucking contest for youths, mulo bucking contest open to all comere, ior which a lj-riae will be given to the rider who stops en 'Freddy for thirty seconds or over. The greatest 6cream of ail ist the fun in the fdockvard, when caivee, mulee, ponies, and donkeys will be let loree. and youths be invited' to catch and ricks them. 'Trick ponies will give several novelty items and contests will be held as follows-. —Surcingle bucking contest, novice bucking contest" on d'onkevs, and builock-riding coip-netit-ion. Whippet racing and cyclmg will also be held, and the programme submitted i- one which should appeal to everyone who cniovs a good laugh. The antics of the animals in endeavouring to dislodge their riders wil cause tho most serious person to break out into peals o£ laughter. The programme is the best ever offered to the. public of Christchnrch, and wdl be enjoyed bv one and all.
