PROPOSAL TO RAISE A SPECIAL LOAN. ~~N pursuance and exorcise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the "Local Bodies Loans Act, 1913," and the "Reserves and Other Lands Disposal and Public Bodies Empowering Act, 1924," the WAIMAIRI COUNTY Council propose to raise a SPECIAL LOAN of £6OOO, for the purpose of erecting a TOWN HALL at BELFAST. Jho particular purpose for which the Loan is required is as follows: — £ Estimated Cost of Hall . . 5000 Architect, Advertising, Furnishing, and Contingencies .. 580 First Year's Interest and Sinking Fund ... .. 420 £6OOO The proposed security for the above Loan is a SPECIAL RATE of ONE-THIRD (1-3) of a penny in the £ on the Rateable (Capital) Value of all the Rateable Property in the BELFAST RIDING of the WAIMAIRI COUNTY, and shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the said Loan, being a period of 36J years, or until the Loan is fully paid off. PUBLIC Notice is hereby given that in pursuance of powers conferred on it by the Public Works Amendment Act, 3 924, and tho Regulations as to the use of MotorLorries, gazetted March 26th. 1925. and September 24th, 1925, the Akaroa County Council intends to classify tho Main Akaroa Highway and the Summit road as under: — Main Akaroa Highway—From the County boundary at the Hill top to Akaroa: Second Class (i.e., availablo for the use thereon of any motor-lorry which with the maximum load it is licensed to carry weighs not more than 8 tons). Summit Road—From the Connty boundary at the Hill Top to Long Bay Saddle: Third Class (i.e., available for the use thereon of any motor-lorry which with the maximum load it is licensed to carry, weighs not more than, G tons).
