Cr. C. Carr asked at last night's meeting of the City Council if the Traffic Inspectors were doing anything in the direction of improving traffic conditions in Manchester street. He considered that speeding to and from the railway station as bad now as it ever had been. In reply, Cr. C. P. Agar said the question was being considered of amalgamating the traffic and sanitary departments, and by this means augmenting the number of inspectors.
