NORTH BEACH PICNIC.
A party of about 50 members of the North Beach Gala Committee journeyed by motor to the I'inps, Kaiapoi during the -week-end. for their annual picnic. A very pleasant afternoon was spent. The rcsnlts of the races were:—Married women: Mrs McNeilagc and Mrs Bell; single women. Miss Norric and Miss Coc; pirls' race, Misses Green and Brand; married men's race, Messrs Johnston and Brand; sinple men, Messrs J. Scott, jnn., and !•'.' Chambers; boys, Masters Kennedy and Hamilton; three lodged race, Misses Coe and Js'orric.
