'McLeod visited Ponjjnroa during the week-end and inspected ;:. large estate under offer to the Government, Li>eal requirements were brought under his notice, and he was also entertained by the settlers. The matter of acquiring the * will come before the Department. Tno Minister was accompanied by Mr G. B. Svkes, M.l\, and Mr Brook, Commis•ioiicr of Crown Lands.
