Advices from Tsingtao state that 8000 supporters of Feng-tien have boarded four gunboats and thrco transports with largo supplies of ammunition, and arc ready to proceed to liaichow to participate in a flank attack on the Allies and simultaneously to start a drive southwards. Tho main Feng-tien army, which is in a strong position southward of Hsuchow, commands a fifty-mile front. The Honan troops are keeping well inside tho border. Ik-ports aro conflicting regarding thoir real attitude.
