Leaving Stratford this morning, bo proceeded to Waverley. where ho unveiled a war memorial. Although the meeting wr.s held in ti:e. ai'terroon, the ball was vina-ole 1.0 arceir.ir.odiU- nil who desired to set inside. The result was that- MrCoaios bad ui address a big overflow meeting in Jfront of the building. Inside there was a s:ene of great- enthusiasm. All the seating accommodation upstairs and downstairs was oeeiipied, and hundreds of people bad to stand At the conclusion of Mr Coatcs's address the big audience passed :. unanimous veto of confidence 'in the Prime Minister and the Government. Mr Coates left W augan-ai aniidsr rousing cheers, and he was preceded for some little distance by the Pip Band. At .Marten .Mr Coates laid the foundation stone of the new Post Office, a ceremony which very ' Largely arrer.ded, cud at- the conclusion of proceedings he was heartily cheered. Aftor be-inc. entertained at a dinner at. Marten, the Prime Minister went to Hulls, where, be delivered a short open-air address. Pounds of choc-ring sent him on bis way to Feeding, where he addressed an overfiotv crowd outside the Tivoli Theatre, and then entered the building to deliver Iris ninth speech of the day. The full bouse received him well, gave him a I great hearing, and passed an almost unanimous vote of co-uh'denoo in- him and bis Government. Cheers were given for the Prime Minister, for Mr Gordon Elliott, the Government candidate,, and counter cheers for Mr P.. Cobbc, the National candidate.
