At 8 o'clock last night he spoke to a verv large audience in the Beckenham School, Mr E. -H. Marriner occupying the chair, and after a,n address lasting two hours, tho candidate was accorded a. unanimous vote of thanks on the motion.of Mr Carlisle, seconded i by \Mr McAlister. MB H. T. ARMSTRONG. Mr H. T. Armstrong. Labour candidate for Christchurch East, addressed a large and enthusiastic meeting at St. Martins last night, Mr J. Jonos presiding. Tho speaker recoived a. unanimous vote of thanks and confidence. CHRISTCHURCH SOUTH. MR E. J. HOWARD. Mr E. J- Howard addressed two largo open-air meetings' last, evening, the first at tho comer of King and Montrose streets, and the second at the corner of Strickland and Somerneld streets. At each meeting a, vote of thauks and confidence, was earned unanimously. MR H. G. ELL.. Mr H. G. Ell spoke at two meetings last night—at 7 o'clock at the corner of SelwVn street and Harman street, where ho 1 received a very attentive" hearing for an hour, and at 8 o'clock' at the corner of Durham' and Wordsworth streets, where he spoke for over an hour and a half and received a good hearing. AVON ELECTORATE. MR W. E. LEADLEY. The Peace Memorial •Hall at NorthBrighton was crowded last evening, when Mr W. E. Leadley, Reform candidate, addressed the electors. Mr JF. 'Parsons presided, an-!! at the eonelusion of a lengthy, address a vote of thanks and confidence, moved by Mr P. G. Waller, was carried unanimously. At the conclusion of the meeting a committee was formed for assistance on election day. MR D. G. SULLIVAN. Mr D. G 'Sullivan addressed, a meeting of about 100 people in the Aranui Hall last night, Mr R. Lovell-Smith presiding. At tho conclusion of the address Mr Sullivan was accorded a unanimous vote of thaniks and confidence.

Kyle, Reform candidate for Pjccarton, held successful meetings at, Spreydon on Monday evening, and at "VTeedons and Temple-ton on Tuesday evening. Ho was given an excellent, reception, and received an attentive hearing throughout'. All meetings were fully attended, showing an increase oi public- interest in the campaign nC that the election day is fast approaching. The speaker was accorded votes ov" thanks for his addresses. MR WINTER COLE. Mr "Winter Cole. Labour candidate for Riceartou, addressed a. meeting at Hornby on Tuesday night. Mr Manhire was in the chair. At tho close of the address a vote of thanks and. confidence in Mr Cole was carried unanimously. Mr Winter Cole also addressed his workmates at the Addington Workshops at the. lunch hour, where also a vote of fhaaka and .confidence in the Labour Part j- was carried by acclamation. KAIAPOI. MR D. BUDDO. t Mi D. Buddo, Nationalist candidate for Kaiapoi, addressed' the electors at Northcoto on Tuesday evening. There was an attendance of about sixty. The candidate dealt with local matters, and his address was received with satisfaction. A vote of thanks was passed. At Papaiuii the same evening Mr Buddo had a hearty reception, and explained matters affecting the districtMr G. AUington was in the chair. At the close of the meeting Mr Batch proposed a vote of thanks and confidence, ■which was carried unanimously. The Hon. D. Buddo, Nationalist' candidate for Kaiapoi, tbe electors at.
