(ft CAJKJS—PRI3S ASSOCIATION—COPTXIOHT.) Uvtmiuw amd sjs. cable jjsocutiqk.)
LONDON,' September 13,
The "Daily Express," in an editorial, deplores the growing numbers of the 'unemployed. It would be, worth £500,000,000 to Great Britain to convert her 1,500,000 unproductive British into productive Australians, Now Zealanders, or Canadians. "Why cannot it be dpne? 1 ' asks the "Express." "AU have* heard phrases such as: 'We fought for England and will stay here.' We sympathise with the man who loves his country, but do not sympathise with the man who prefers tbe dolo when he knows his manhood and independence lie in Australia or New Zealand. There are admitted hardships here, but they are glorious ment, in conjunction with the Dominions, did its part in tbo spirit of Englishmen it would benefits. On the fields of Australia, New Zealand, and Canada the tragio thousands of our streets plead for a strong leader."
