FARMER SUFFOCATED.
(PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGItAM.) TE AWAJITTTU, August 14. Alfred W. Jones, a farmer, of Pokuru, who was killed last night, was proceeding home by ear from Te Atvajnutu. He evidently got out to crank the engine, whieh had been left in gear. Tho vehicle moved forward, pinning him to tho ground and suffocating him. His body was found this morning below the car by a roadman. Deceased leaves a widow and seven children. He was widely known throughout Waikato.
