A number of pupils from tho Ikamatua School will leave to-morrow for Christchureh on a visit to tho Amen* «Vh ® Holland, a6^ a question in Parliament regarding the alleged unwarranted dismissal of a railway employee at Greymouth. The pictures which wore recently disnlavcd at Greymouth under the auspices nf the National Association arc to be exhibited at llokitika towards the end of next week. The Rev. G. Budd, superintendent of the Presbvterian Homo Missions, is visiting the Hokitika district. Mr AV M Mutton, who has been appointed ' leading boilcrmaker in the Westport railway workshops, has arrived from Fetonc. 1 Mr AValkcr, of Hokitika, lias been appointed to the mechanical staff of the "Grev River Argus. Mrs G. T. Smart will leave to-morrow for Christchureh on a holiday visit. A meeting of tho Greymouth branch nf the Plunket Society was held this nfternoon. Tho president, Mrs Carr, and attern Denton, were lilted delegates to the Society's annual conference to be held at Duncdbx in December. It was resolved to nublish a balance-sheet up to March flat Votes Of thanks were passed to the Barbour Board and for donations, and to Mr J. a. Aent for signs. ..
