After the initiation a banquet was hold, and a lengthy toast list honoured. Automobile Association. Dr. AV. Mcnav presided at the annual meeting of the tjrey branch of the Cantcroury Automobile Association. The annual report, made reference to various road improvements during the year and the impending efforts m the direction of increasing -the membership. A motion of condolence with the rc- | latives of the late Mr R. .Macartney, a prominent member of the Association, was carried. Mr J. Higgins, Grey County Engineer. and the Main Highways Council for No. 12 district wero voted thanks for the good work done on the roads.
