Winter Comes Back. / Snow fell all along the foothills and on the Port Hills during the weekend. Last.night, wet snow commenced to fall iu. the city. No Trots To-day. Following a postponement of the first «lay of the Metropolitan Club's trotting meeting from Saturday to Monday, yet another postponement hud to" bo decided upon, yesterday. The days of the meeting, if present arrangements stand, will be Wednesday, Friday, and Monday. Lake Coleridge Power. The power from Lake Coleridge failed again on Saturday night, but this timo the break was not so serious, and the current came again in about half a hour. It is hoped that all the damage wrought by the storm will bo made good today, and that all services will be normal. Football. Beports of Saturday's representative .Rugby- matches will be found on page 13.

The French have suffered losses in their campaign against the insurgents in Syrist» Labour Policy. Tho British Labour Party has decided to invoko tho aid of the International Labour Convention in suppressing "sweating." Prison Congress. The International Prison Congress has made important recommendations regarding the probation system and film censorship.
