PORTLAND QUARRY STRIKE

The Portland strikers are taking a ballot on Monday to decide whether they will return to work. [As no response was made to the call for men to take their places following the dismissal of an employee at Portr land quarrv, the whole of the quarrymen ceased work and the cement mills have been compelled to cease grinding, J rendering idle 800 men.]
