Tho Paris correspondent of the '•'Daily Chronicle" states that a Riffian effensive on the Taza sector, which lasted two days, has been shattered. Columns of the enemy again and again stormed the French positions at Babtaza, but always met a deadly fire, until they fled helterskelter, the French throwing two squadrons of Spahis against the disheartened c>nemv.
For the first time in the campaign "Arme Blanche" had a chance. The Spahis rode full tiit at the flying enemy, sabreing their rear. Many Riffians threw away their rifles to flea, but the Spahis overtook them, and those who did not fall to tie French sabres were hurled into a ravine by the rush of squadrons. Hundreds of Riffian deal mark the line of flight. The road communications between Zaza and Fez have been re-established.
