Tito function of oil is to separate tho 'working surfaces and the lubricating substance must transmit heat, acting as a cooling medium for tho pistons and bearings through which the heat is radiated to the water jacket or tho erankcaso wall. To perfdrm these three fundamental requirements the oil must be of suporior quality, of tho proper body and character to meet the needs to which it is put, and it . must be used in the. proper way. j Tho engine will 'perform better if the. radiator is thoroughly flushed out.
