NOTES AND MEMORANDA.
At a meeting of the Classical Association, to be held on Monday' at Canterbury College, Professor Stewart will deliver a lecture on "Some Greek Vase Painters."- All interested are invited. The Christc'hurchV Juvenile' Chwr will meet to-morrow morning at the Training College Hall, Peterborough' street. - A meeting of ratepayers of the Waipara County will be held in -the Hawarden Hall to-morrow night, to discuss the proposed increase in rates. A demonstration by the Canterbury United Sunday Schools' Association will be given in the Oxford terrace school hall this evening. The seventh annual meeting of the Canterbury Justices of the Peace Association will be held in the Navy League room on Monday night. The Hawarden Golf Club will -hold its opening to-morrow. , The official turning-on of electric power at Darfield will take place in the Memorial Hall on Thursday night. A kindergarten fair will bo held in the Navy League rooms this afternoon.
