Tibbie, a guillotine cutter in the bookbinding department of an East End printing works, has received tho 0.8. E. from tho King, in recognition of his readiness to grant blood for transfusions to the London Hospital. The usual feo for this operation is £5 ss, and Tibbie thu 3 far has given tho Hospital tho equivalent of £267 during five years and a half. He began through hearing of a small boy, who was run over by a taxi-cab and taken* to tho London Hospital. He went and offered blood, but was too late to save the boy. Since then Tibbie has held himself in readiness for possible operations. Ho says it makes him fcol "a bit groggy" for a week, but ho must go on with his work, as he cannot afford to do otherwise. (Received June 4th, 7.55 p.m.) LONDON, Juno 4. Tibblo has been electod a life governor of tho London Hospital. Lord Knutsford (president) said Tibbie had given a pint of blood on 44 occasions, and, although a poor man, had refused any foe.
