KAYE AND CARTER, LIMITED.

ft MEETING OF CREDITORS. A meeting of tho creditors of Kaye and Carter, Limited, was held yesterday in tho Land Sale room of the National Mortgage and Agency Company, Ltd. The meeting, which was presided over by Mr J. G. Herdman, was attended by a large number of creditors.

After the chairman had explained the reason for calling tho meeting, Mr Gavin Anderson, of the firm of Kaye and Carter, read a lengthy statement to the meeting.

Replying to various creditors, Mr Anderson explained the relationship of Gilbert Anderson and Company, Kayo and Carter, Ltd., and the G. and S. Investment Company, of Loudon. Mr Morrison and Mr Cunningham, who had been appointed to act with the liquidators, also explained the Eosition of the company so far as they ad been able to ascertain it from the books and accounts placed at their disposal.

After a long discussion, and a vote being taken, it was resolved that the company bo wound up voluntarily.

Messrs Norman Macßeth and W. Machin wero appointed liquidators, and the following gentlemen wero appointed an advisory committe*. to act with the liquidators:—Messrs Maling, Herdman, and Cunningham. It wa* resolved that the question of the remuneration to the liquidators be left in the hands of the advisory committee.

A vote of thanks was tendered to Mr Brydon for his courtesy in placing his room at the disposal of the creditors, and the meeting terminated.
