BANKS PENINSULA RABBIT BOARD. MONTHLY MEETING. The montlJy meeting of the Banks Peninsula Babbit Board was held on Tuesday, when Messrs H. A. Kfutt (chairman), C. J. Kichfield, "J. O. Coop, i>nd W. A. Gray were present. Mr Henderson, district stock inspector, also attended. Mi F. E. H. Gardiner telephoned an apolcgy. Rates outstandine for 1924-5 wero reported to be £lO7 Is, and for 1923-4 £32 5s 2d. The secretary was instructed to place the arrears in the hands of the solicitors to be sued for. without delay, as funds were needed to meet liabilities. Mr William Menzies reported on inspections with Inspector Hoskin, and Mr W. H. Milner on tihe progress of the addition to" the rabbit fence. . The Banks Peninsula .electric Power B;ard wrote recommending new lamps at the rabbit gates, which it was decided to The chairman said he had instructed the secretary to send a telegram to Mrs A. Goodwin, expressing sympathy in the death of her husband, who was a former member of- the Board. On the n.otion of tho chairman, the secretary was a3ked to convey the Boards deepest sympathy to Mrs Mase-ey and family in their bereavement. ' Tho inspector's and rabbitera reports for May were considered and, with one or two exceptions, pronounced satisfactory. Mr Kichfield said he had been on Mr Williams's property in company with the rabbiter, and thought he had been doing very fair work The occupiers in his part of the district were also employing another rabbiter. Beearding repairs to fences alongside the- rabbit fences, it was ccmndered that adioinine occupiers shculd contribute towards the cost, and tho'chairman and secretary were requested, to. obtain a. legal, opinion xi necessary.
