♦ KRIESLER'S VISIT. Kreislor, tho most famous of > all living violinists who is to enchant music-lovers with his matchless art for one recital at the Theatre -Royal on Saturday, June 13th, is not known for any peculiarities, and . lis esehows mannerisms because ho is first and last a supremo artist d'evoted to his art. He does not' detach, the mind of his audiences by. gymnastics or any of those intended gaucheries by which lesser men have gained temporary notoriety. Tho expression .of music by his own matehles3 playing is to him almost a religion, and lie appeals more by his instinctive understanding of the minds ..of-the mastors ho interprets and his beautiful conceptions than by any trick-or pretence. Mr E. .T. Carroll, the distinguished' Australian impressing, in inducing this master to corns lo Now Zealand, has performed a further service. His expressed belief is that wherever there are pecplo artistically .hungry, they shall be fed with tho best the earth supplies. Kreisler is-without-a peer,. a matchless exponent, of his superb art. Ho tells tho story of the ages to the hearts of tho people. The preferential box jilan is now open at The Bristol. Owing to tho big demand, which is increasing' daily, for preferential scats, the management wish to impress on intending patrons not to delay in reserving their scats.
