TRAMPING CLUB.
Taking 1 advantage of the holiday and an improvement in the weather, members of the Clivistchurcli Tramping Club led, by -the secretary, Mr Cr. iY. Carrington, tramped along the beach from North Beach to tho mouth of the 'Waimakayiri river. On the return, thoy skirted the. lagoon and passed through somo scrub' to reach" Lower Styx road, where a pause was made, to 'boil the bi|ly. , Permission having been obtained from the' Citv Council to go through" its 1 plantations,. the party cut across country to the end of Bottle Lake road by which Burwood was reached. Here the. party divided, somo catching the tram at Richmond, while others Reached their homes, through St. Albans, after a long! but enjoyable day.
