Big Wheat CtWSk*"""' '#6 l S3J bushels to the acre in Official Tei The 1924-25 Official Wheat Manure Tests again proved the high efficiency of "Rockland" Superphosphate for increasing the yield of grain, thus supporting the results of the previous year, which were overwhelmingly favourable to "Rockland" Superphosphate. As is to be expected, results vary to a degree, but when our New Zealand tests have been taken over a number of years, the average will, as in Australia, show that the adequate use of "Rockland" Superphosphate gives that increased yield of grain- which profits from wheat growing worth while. THE 1923-24 TESTS Three examples of the 1924-25 Tests— On Mr. F. Carpenter's farm at Prebbleton lcwt. of "Rockland" Superphosphate increased the yield of grain from 32.9 bushels to 43.7 bushels Putting the price *of wheat down at 6/6 a bushel, this represents an increased return of £3 10/- per acre for an expenditure of 7/3 per acre for "Rockland" Superphosphate. On 200 acres this would total £7OO. ' < On Messrs. W. & A. Campion's farm, Prebbleton, the yield of grain was increased from 28.9 to 38.3 bushels Sui per acre, the increase due to "Rockland' phate being valued at £2/11/3 per acre. In another test, conducted on Mr. F. Carpenter's! lcwt. .sof "Rockland" Superphosphate normal yield of-41.2 bushels per acre to 49.3-ri crease of 8.1 bushels, valued at £2/12/6 per acre, an expenditure of 7/3 for "Rockland" Superphdspl On 200 acres this would be a net additional pre" £525 over and above the ordinary profit. All of which goes to show that the extra bushels per acre, which make: the difference to profits from growing wheat, can be obtained by usi, "Rockland" Superphosphate as a Manure.
