At the Mystery Movie Ball, to be held at the Caledonian Hall next Tuesday night, the public of Christchurch are offered not only the opportunity to win a prize for impersonating a movie star, but. also the opportunity of choosing one in actual reality from among a specially presented group of pretty Chrktchurch girls. The method will lie by voting, and for this purpose cardo and pencils will ba issued, and after the girls have each been presented, posed iu a big gold picture frame, the voting cards will be gathered up and counted, and the girl who-receives most votes proclaimed "Miss Christchurch," who will go, when girls have duly been selected, from, the , other .New .Zealand cities, to Wellington for the election of Miss New Zealand, who will be given a unique opportunity for a career—inasmuch as she will be starred in a first-class motion picture. ' Some of the candidates will also reappear in the special cabaret number, ".Dancing at that Moving Picture Ball."
