COMMERCIAL TRAVELLERS' CONCERT.

CALEDONIAN HALL, TO-NIGHT. At the Caledonian Hall to-night the Commercial Travellers -will present the concert -upon' which their well-known organising abilities have been bent for-some weeks past. An excellent programme has been arranged and intending patrons are assured of a splendid entertainment, the performers including some ©f the best amateur artists in Christchurch. Prominent amongst these is Miss Nellie Lowe, an English lady who, during her brief residence here.has appeared at a. few concerts and lias won :the highest encomiums. Her appearance to-night is being looked forward to with a great deal of pleasure, for all those who heard her last expressed the hope that it would not be long before she again gave local music-lovers an opportunity to appreciate her art. The Travellers' Choir of male voices is one of the most popular combinations of its kind in the city, and is heard all too seldom. The conductor, Mr A. Worsley, A.R.MX.M., has arranged a fine programme, including some oi the rollicking part songs which are always favourites with admirers of the choir. Messrs A. L. Cropp and J. H. Cocks, two of the best baritone singers in Christchurch, are amongst those who will take part, and they are supported by such good performers as Messrs W. J. Trowerri, K. W. Connor, B. Crowhurst, and H. Taylor, whoso singing is always an attraction. Mr Alec. Dey, one of the most gifted elocutionists, in his own special sphere in New Zealand, and Mr E. A. Turner, comedy sketch artist. For the first time in its history the Commercial Travellers' Association is producing an entertainment with the ■ object of benefiting its own funds, and in view of the many thousands of pounds it has raised for charitable objects over a number of years, it is certainly worthy of the heartiest support of the people of Christchurch. The popular prices make the concert available to everybody.
