The legendary thieves who in London were stated to have attempted to sell the lions in Trafalgar square to a visiting American and in Paris to have disposed of the towers of Notre-Dame to another confidi:i?, stranger, have been surpassed by a "working plumber" who, last month, succeeded in seeming the aid of some of the workmen employed by the City of Paris to enable him to make off with a great bronze dolphin through whose mouth one of the basins in the Place de la Repubtique has been filled with water for many years past.
