'PHE BOARD, in pursuance of the power conferred by the "Education Act. 1914," hereby directs that a PUBLIC MEETING }'■ iOLDERS be held in each SCHOOL DISTRICT in the Canterbury Education District on MONDAY, April 27th, at Half-past Seven O'Clock in the evening, for the Ejection of a School Committee for each District. . Where the Yearly Average Attendance at the School or Schools in tho School District for tho year ending December 31et, 1924, has not exceeded One Hundred Children, tho nmiiber of Members of the School Committee shall he FIVE; where such attendance is over One Hundred and not over Tivo Hundred, the number of Members shall be SEVEN; and whore such attendance is over Two Hundred, the number of Mombers eh&ll be NINE. The Place of Meeting shall be the School in eaoh District, and this is understood to mean the Main School in any District which ha.9 more than one School. Tift Board further directs that the First Meeting of each School Committee he hold in the place appointed for the Election, and immediately after the Election. The Board further calls upon the Householders in each District to SEND IN to the Chairman of the School Committee (or {he Commissioner, as the case mav be), in writing on or before MOJJDAY, April 20th, not later than 8 p.m., the NJAMES of PERSONS being householders NOMINATED by them to aerve upon tho Committee. Such nominations must bo signed by the Pi'Qposer and by the Candidate, and must be in the form set forth in the Third Schedule to the Act, or to the effect thereof. In addition to such nominations in School Districts in which the average attendance for the year 192* * did- NOT exceed 240, any Householders present at the Annual Meeting may nominate any Householder who conaepts by word of mouth or in writing to be nominated. (In the case of School Districts in which the average attendance for the year 1924 exceeded 240, the Act dees NOT provide for the acceptance of verbal nominations.)
